Farruko, also known as Carlos Efrén Reyes Rosado, is a talented Puerto Rican singer specializing in reggaeton and urban music. Born on May 2, 1991, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, Farruko developed a passion for music from a young age, unaware of the fame that awaited him. Growing up in Bayamón, he completed his elementary and high school education while nurturing his dreams of becoming a renowned singer in the urban genre.
In 2007, Farruko took his first steps towards his musical career by releasing his debut song, “Sexo Fuera del Planeta.” The track caught the attention of music producer Alex Gargolas, who featured it in the intro of the album Los Brothers in 2008. Building on his momentum, Farruko released “Passion Whine” in 2014, a collaboration with Sean Paul and Wisin that enjoyed 26 consecutive weeks on the Latin Songs – Urban República Dominicana chart. The same year, he introduced his album “Los Menores,” featuring the hit single “Far from Here,” which reached the top 5 positions on the Top Latin Songs – United States charts. Additionally, Farruko organized a concert at the Choliseo of Puerto Rico to promote the album.
On October 23, 2015, Farruko unveiled his album “Visionary,” which boasted an impressive collection of songs. Notable collaborations on this album included “Sunset” with Nicky Jam and Shaggy, as well as “Obsessed” and “Chillax” with Ky-Mani Marley.
