Initially, Grupo Firme made a name for themselves by showcasing their prowess on social media platforms, captivating listeners with their incredible covers. In 2017, they officially announced their presence to the world through their debut album, aptly titled “Past, Present, Future.” The year 2018 witnessed their rise to prominence with the release of their first chart-topping hits, including “PÃdeme,” “El Roto,” and “Juro Por Dios.” Their unique sound resonated with music enthusiasts, propelling them further towards success. However, it was in the following year that they truly skyrocketed to fame with the smash hit “El Amor No Fue Pa’ Mi,” along with several other chart-toppers.
Today, Grupo Firme stands tall as the epitome of musical excellence and innovation, captivating audiences worldwide with their distinct sound and unparalleled talent. They have successfully carved a niche for themselves in the industry and are widely regarded as the trendsetting musical group of the moment.
JoaquÃn and Eduin embarked on their musical journey in the band Reto Sierreño. They later went on to be a part of Aventado2 de Tijuana and Los 4 de la frontera before serendipitously coming together in the band Fuerza Oculta. After a few alterations, this band eventually transformed into the widely known Grupo Firme, formerly known as Grupo Fuerza. Since several groups shared the same name, the members made the collective decision to adopt a synonym and settled on the name “Firme”.
Let me introduce to you the inception of Grupo Firme, which came to life with the gifted Eduin leading the way as the vocalist and head honcho. Supporting him on the bass guitar is the talented JoaquÃn, while Abraham and Jhonny lend their exceptional voices to the mix. Christian brings his magic touch on the bass, Dylan mesmerizes with his accordion skills, and Fito keeps the beat alive on the drums. Together, this harmonious ensemble forms the heart and soul of Grupo Firme.
The group got their start in bars and events with the guidance and support of their manager and representative, Isael Gutiérrez, who happens to be the head of the Music VIP Entertainment label. They also made a name for themselves on various social media platforms and other online platforms by sharing their own versions of popular songs by well-known artists like Los Tigres del Norte, José Alfredo Jiménez, and Los Tucanes de Tijuana, among others. What’s interesting is that they often took song requests from their audience and quickly gained a loyal fanbase as a result.
In April 2017, the group made their mark with their first album, “Past, Present, Future”, following years of performances and covers gaining popularity on social media. The album consisted of twelve captivating songs, including the hits “De Sol a Sol”, “Metas Cumplidas”, “Perdóname”, and “El de los Huaraches”. Although the album didn’t achieve overwhelming success, it succeeded in raising awareness of the group. Just a few months later, they made a comeback with their second album, “El Barco” (2017), a collection of fifteen mesmerizing tracks such as “El Bueno de Tijuana”, “Dile”, “Gente de Verdad”, and “La Interezada”.
In the same year, there was a memorable collaboration between the group and Los Buitres de Culiacán Sinaloa, resulting in the thrilling album “En Vivo Desde Tijuana los Buitrones y los Firmes” (2017). However, it wasn’t until 2018 that they truly hit the big time with the release of their hit singles “PÃdeme,” “El Roto,” and “Juro Por Dios.” The group was unstoppable that year, as they kept the momentum going with a continuous stream of singles, exciting collaborations, and numerous live performances. Their popularity even reached beyond the borders of Mexico as they ventured to Colombia, where they were warmly embraced and recorded their sensational live album “En Vivo desde MedellÃn Colombia” (2018). This album boasted crowd favorites like “El Teclas,” “El Peña,” and “El Flaquito,” captivating audiences both within and outside of Mexico.
